so the kids and I decided to take our own little trip this year. He had been in Chicago for work during the week, so it would've been a LOOOONG weekend with three on one after an already long week!! The only concern I had was getting there and back with my little travelers, but overall, the trips were very manageable--we didn't stop once getting there and arrived in 4 hours 45 minutes; on our return journey, we only stopped once for Whitney to potty and made it in 4 hours 55 minutes!!! It was so nice spending time with Noni and Steve.
We kept it very relaxed--went on lots of walks, sat on the patio and played with the kids, went to Wal-Mart, the kids had golf cart rides with Papa, Audra watched lots of TV and played on the computer, the girls made cake pops with Nana, lots of play dough fun (mess), went to the Alligator Farm in Hot Springs, looked at old scrapbooks and pictures, and had lots of yummy food & good chats!
We are so thankful for Nana and Papa and appreciate all their hospitality!!!
